The Magnet Group, Washington, MO, announced Amber Dobson as the 2023 Fran Ford Award winner.
The annual Fran Ford Award recognizes the Magnet Group employee who embodies the outstanding characteristics that defined Fran Ford. For those who had the pleasure of knowing Fran, many of his amazing character traits are those that made him become one of the most endeared leaders within the promotional products industry and his community, such as being a great friend, a valuable mentor, a willing volunteer in and outside of the promotional products industry, and simply being kind and generous as if it were a sixth sense of his.
The sixth-annual award recipient and employee was nominated by a handful of TMG teammates, recognizing Dobson not only for her strengths within her local community and wherever she has lived, but especially former dedication to her fellow coworkers and the overall success of The Magnet Group.
Volunteerism is of upmost importance to this year’s winner. She was the lead coordinator for many years for an organization called We Care Volunteers. This organization helps to feed and care for the homeless community by donating food, organizing clothing drives, and arranging hair-cutting services. To top it all off, she even converted an old school bus into a mobile food truck to feed the homeless during the winter months.
“As a member of the committee since the award’s inception, I am always amazed by those that are nominated, and this year is no exception,” said Jessica Hiner, vice president of business development and Fran Ford Award committee chair. “Amber embodies the true meaning behind the Fran Ford Award, and she should be proud of her accomplishment.”
